About

Adrienne D. Mebane started her legal career as a prosecutor in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office (CCSAO). She held numerous trial attorney positions from entry-level to first chair in a felony courtroom where she tried numerous cases including homicide and sexual assault cases. While at the CCSAO, she held the supervisory positions of Deputy Supervisor of the Felony Review Unit, Supervisor of the Homicide Sex Unit and Supervisor of the Preliminary Hearings/Grand Jury Unit. She spent 5 years in the legal Department of the Chicago Transit Authority. She returned to the CCSAO as Chief of Staff, eventually being promoted to First Assistant State’s Attorney where she was responsible for both the day-to-day and long-term operations of the CCSAO. She has also worked as a trial consultant and adjunct professor of trial advocacy for both Loyola and Northwestern University.
