John D. Blum is the founding Director of the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy and the inaugural holder of the Beazley Chair in Health Law. He has taught a wide number of health law and policy courses, most recently Government Health Policy, Topics in Long Term Care, and Public Health Law. In 2011, he was awarded the Jay Healey Health Law Teachers Award by the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics in recognition for his work in the field. Blum is a two-time Fulbright Scholar in Canada and Malaysia respectively. He is widely published in health law and policy areas in both the legal and health science literature. Over the years, Professor Blum has been very active in the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association and has been a lecturer at universities in North America, Europe, and Asia.
